Yuzu no hana is a Japanese restaurant in the Club District created by the owner of the ever-popular Japango. The fish here is fresher and high quality than the average Toronto sushi joint and the menu includes hard to find-selections like ocean trout and real red snapper.
Located in the Entertainment District, Yuzu offers an extensive à la carte menu featuring a range of sushi, sashimi, Japanese appetizers and entrées. This restaurant is much fancier (and pricier) than the plethora of All-You-Can-Eat sushi joints this city offers, and the quality of the food shows for it.
There are many options here but the sushi deluxe dinner, which includes 12 pieces of nigiri and six pieces of maki chosen by the chef, and the Yuzu bento are always good options. If you’re feeling adventurous, be sure to try Yuzu’s omakase, a multiple course meal that is specially designed by the chef. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert: the black sesame ice cream and green tea crème brulee are popular choices. Yuzu also carries a wide selection of premium sake, sake cocktails and Japanese beer.
Yuzu exemplifies all of the qualities that I look for in a great Japanese restaurant; high quality food, the freshness of the fish, creativity in the dishes and knowledgeable and friendly staff.
During my visit I opted for the À la carte. The Feast:

Overall, I highly recommend Yuzu Sushi & Sake Bar for its offering of beautifully presented authentic Japanese food, and great service. Additionally, the chefs (in the kitchen and sushi) all use high quality ingredients to make sure an unique and tasty experience.
Yuzunohana features Japanese cuisine made with the freshest ingredients, authentically prepared and artfully presented in comfortable contemporary surroundings.
